For the third year Victoria has had the privilege to be part of the intense private acting workshop of Andreas Manolikakis in Athens, Greece for professional actors and students of drama schools.

Andreas Manolikakis is a Lifetime Member of the Actors Studio and member of its Board of Directors. He has taught acting, directing and script analysis workshops and Master Classes in New York, Athens, Paris, Berlin, Bucharest, and Sibiu, at National Drama and Film Schools, International Theatre Festivals, Universities and Conservatories. As a director and actor he has worked in the United States and in Europe, including on Broadway, at the Actors Studio, and at the National Theatre of East Paris. This is the 29th consecutive year that he has held his private acting workshop in Athens, Greece.
The workshop is an 80-hour Method acting intensive. It involves basic training exercises in relaxation and sense memory, detailed script analysis, improvisation, and practical application of the Method in scenework. All participants work on a scene or monologue throughout the workshop. Mr. Manolikakis works in depth with each actor to help them identify and overcome their distinctive acting challenges. He guides and encourages them to find their own individual expression and find behaviour that is personal, truthful, logical, and justified according to the text.
For Mr. Manolikakis the four basic requirements of a professional actor are:
1. Understanding what is happening in the scene.
2. Making the material personal to oneself.
3. Expressing the role by theatrical means.
4. Being able to repeat it for each and every performance.
These are the fundamental guiding principles in his approach to working with actors.
Victoria is honoured to have been able to participate and assist during this workshop and to be mentored by Mr. Manolikakis.

About Mr. Manolikakis:
Ellen Burstyn (President of the Actors Studio, Oscar, Tony and Emmy Award-winning actress):
“In my opinion, Andreas Manolikakis understands the work of Stanislavski and his favorite student Vakhtangov better than any teacher or interpreter since Lee Strasberg was teaching at the Actors Studio.’
Arthur Penn (former President of the Actors Studio, Tony Award-winning director, three-time Oscar nominee):
“I regard Andreas Manolikakis as one of the most insightful and gifted members of the Actors Studio.”
